Harry Potter Pillows!

When I saw these pillow covers on pinterest I knew that I needed to make them for my sister Rachel!! There were no directions, so I made it up as I went. (Actually I did a lot of figuring and sketching, then I winged it!)

Over all I love how they turned out! I'm not totally happy with how plain Hermione is. It seems she needs some thing more-- blush on cheeks maybe? I sent them to Rachel after a few months of them sitting on my bookshelf, and she posted the following picture :)

The Goddesses

Emily: My goal in life for as long as I can remember was to be a domestic goddess. I think I have arrived. I owe almost all of my domestic skills to my mother who taught me to cook, embroider, and sew. She trusted me in her kitchen and with her sewing machine and led by example. Rachel and I had fantastic domestic adventures when we were neighbors, and now, even 4+ years later, we're still at it!

Rachel: I didn't know what I wanted to be in life until I met Emily. We were neighbors and pretend roomies, and I knew it was meant to be. She put a name to the things I was already awesome at! I have always loved to cook, bake, sew, and scrapbook. I'm always up for trying new things and perfecting my skills.
